The AXIS S1224 rack recorder is a powerful, 1U rack-mounted recording server built for performance and scalability. Designed for installations with a small to medium number of Axis IP cameras, it supports demanding applications and offers reliable, secure data handling with high transmission throughput.
Preloaded with AXIS Camera Station Pro software and supplied with 24 licenses, this server allows you to get up and running quickly. It is optimised to handle up to 300 Mbit/s recording throughput for smooth and detailed video across your network, capable of supporting approximately 32 video channels in total. 1 x 12TB HDD storage is included, expandable with 1 additional hard drive slot to suit your storage needs up to 24TB total. The device supports multiple RAID configurations (0,1) for reliable system redundancy. It features 3 x USB ports for connecting external devices such as the Axis TU9001 Control Board for PTZ control.
The AXIS S1224 recorder is designed with future growth in mind, letting you scale up your system even further with additional AXIS Camera Station NVR licences, and integrating Axis S3008 Recorders for cost-efficient system expansion. Installation is made simple with the intuitive AXIS Recorder Toolbox and setup wizard.
Video Management
Access live and recorded high-definition video, export footage and manage alarms with Axis Camera Station VMS software. The device comes with the latest version preinstalled, so you can get started straight away. The Axis Recorder Toolbox features an installation wizard, toolbox and supporting materials to ensure trouble-free setup, whilst also enabling access to the latest software updates and additional features provided by Axis free of charge, such as access via Axis My Systems.
Video Analytics
As the device runs Axis Camera Station Pro software, it fully supports the complete range of Axis analytics technologies, such as Axis Object Analytics for detecting and classifying humans and vehicles. Receive alerts for events detected by supported Axis cameras, enabling rapid response to potential incidents as well as developing valuable insights into business performance.
Built using powerful components, the unit supports AI applications such as Smart Search 2. This advanced forensic search feature allows you to easily find objects of interest captured in recordings by setting several filters such as vehicle type and clothing colour to rapidly retrieve specific footage.
