This compact PTZ camera can be installed indoors and outdoors, with three distinct profiles providing different image settings to optimise monitoring of certain scenarios. Forensic WDR and Lightfinder 2.0 deliver full-colour images in low or contrasting lighting, plus IR sensitivity to produce monochrome images in areas with external IR illumination. Ideal for smaller businesses wanting to increase security, users can rely on human and vehicle identification via Axis Object Analytics, whilst the deep learning processing unit (DLPU) provides intelligent granular object classification. Furthermore, Axis Edge Vault protects the camera, securing sensitive data on the camera and further protecting the wider network. Includes two-way audio and I/O connectivity for equipment such as microphones.

Imaging and Optics

With endless 360° pan and x10 optical zoom, the M5526-E is highly adept at examining wide areas in great detail, whilst delivering HD video up to 2688 x 1512 resolution. Footage is available up to 50 frames per second for crisp imagery even in very high-movement areas, ideal for users concerned with accurately identifying individuals on their premises. Three different profiles (indoor, outdoor and forensic) can be switched between to adapt monitoring to different environments. Areas with contrasting lighting such as reception areas are optimised with Forensic WDR to produce a balanced image, whilst Lightfinder 2.0 can deliver full-colour footage in darker areas. Furthermore, clear monochrome images can be produced at night in areas with external IR illumination when the light level reaches 0.01lux thanks to the camera's IR sensitivity.

Video Analytics

The deep learning processing unit (DLPU) within the M5526-E enhances the pre-installed Axis Object Analytics for more accurate detection and classification. As well as humans, different types of vehicles such as buses, vans and bikes can be identified, beneficial for users monitoring high-traffic areas or requiring more demanding surveillance and alarm trigger options. Events can be triggered according to the user's requirements, such as individuals loitering in a pre-set area for too long, or objects crossing a virtual line. Additionally, Axis Motion Detection, Active Tampering Alarm and audio detection provide an array of features to enhance situational awareness.

This IP camera also supports other Axis and third-party applications such as Axis People Counter, enabling greater functionality of the camera to meet more distinct demands.

Recording and Video Management

The intelligent built-in Axis Zipstream compression method differentiates between recording important and unnecessary data, assisting in lowering bandwidth storage by up to 50% without compromising on image quality.

Installation and mounting options

This compact PTZ camera measures 166mm in diameter and 131mm in height and is suitable for areas both indoors and outdoors. Powered by PoE, the M5526-E supports two-way audio and I/O digital connections as well as an input for an external unbalanced microphone.

The camera can be mounted directly onto a ceiling straight out of the box, however additional accessories can be used for additional mounting options, including:
