CamStreamer Cloud Recording is a cloud-based storage platform that allows users to record and store video footage from their compatible Axis cameras, retaining continuous or scheduled recordings of HD 1080p resolution video for up to 30 days. Ideal for smaller surveillance installations with low levels of activity, this cost-effective cloud solution provides a secure and encrypted alternative to physical storage devices. Available as a quarterly rolling contract, this service is priced per camera, per month and supports most Axis IP cameras.

Functionality

Users have the option of storing their recordings on the cloud (limited to HD 1080p resolution) or on a local SD card (unlimited resolution). Alternatively, recordings can be saved to the cloud, with a local backup being simultaneously saved onto an SD card. Recordings can be scheduled for specific time periods when surveillance is most needed, reducing storage requirements compared to continuous recording. Cloud storage and all communications are secured and encrypted with no public IP address or VPN required. Remote access is included with this service and each camera supports up to 2 concurrent users with access available from anywhere using the free CamStreamer Cloud mobile application. Sharable dashboards are available for up to 16 cameras, allowing an unlimited number of users to keep track of camera connection and recording status. Watchdog notifications can be configured to alert users to camera errors or disconnection. Furthermore, a handful of features are included to ease the review of footage, including thumbnail images to display a preview and make selecting a specific moment simpler, as well as the ability to export recordings in a selected time range to .mp4 format.

Subscription costs explained

This subscription is available on a quarterly rolling basis, with costs being charged per camera, per month. This service is easily scalable with the option to add subsequent cameras at any point in the subscription.

Setup and ongoing service

Setup is as simple as signing up and adding a camera with the included installation wizard. However, our Remote Gold Support is included with this service, so we are also available to help you set up your CamStreamer Cloud account and connect your Axis camera(s) to the system if you require assistance. We will also provide recommendations to ensure the system is set up to best suit your requirements and offer assistance if you would like to make changes to the system or add or remove cameras.
