The Milestone Husky 150D viewing station is a compact, yet powerful workstation optimised for use with Milestone XProtect server installations, enabling swift and easy access to live and recorded video via the Milestone Smart Client. Designed to be used with pre-licenced Milestone server systems, it comes preloaded with the necessary Milestone Smart Client to support all versions including Express+, Professional+, Expert and Corporate.
The Milestone Husky IVO series of appliances are built by Milestone Systems using Dell Technologies hardware expertise and Intel's processing power to achieve high quality, performance and reliability.
Workstation
This reliable and highly optimised workstation comes fitted with an Intel Pentium Gold processor for rapid data processing and a Solid-State Drive (SSD) for greater performance. The included NVIDIA T400 GPU delivers high throughput for quickly rendering consistent high-resolution live video at high frame rates. Display multiple camera views by connecting up to 2 viewing monitors directly to the 3 x Mini DisplayPort 1.4 attached to the graphics card (see table below).
Furthermore, 13 x USB ports allows the use of peripheral accessories such as a mouse, keyboard or joystick systems for efficient navigation of camera channels. Local storage comes in the form of a preinstalled 4TB HDD for archiving essential footage when required. The 3.5mm audio connection provides the ability to listen in to live or recorded video for greater scene awareness.
Recommended Usage
For smooth and consistent performance, the overall recommendation is to use one monitor with up to 4 x 4 simultaneous streams displaying footage in 1080p HD resolution up to 25 fps. Streams in lower frame rates may result in the workstation being able to support more simultaneous streams.
Tested at 25 fps per stream, the chart below shows fully working configurations in green. Yellow indicates configurations where users may experience some streams dropping below the number of acceptable frames.
Installation
The compact desktop form factor means this unit can be installed neatly in tight areas where space is limited. As Milestone XProtect comes preinstalled, integration is effortless with the Husky Assistant automatically choosing the applicable version of XProtect for you, and fetching the latest versions online if connected to the internet.
Please note: This workstation is designed for use as a viewing client alongside Milestone XProtect VMS. It is not to be seen or used as a server to run Milestone XProtect on.
