Featuring four individually controllable sensors on a single IP address, this multidirectional outdoor dome provides 360° views in four parts and offers the choice of 12MP or 20MP overall resolution at full frame rate. Designed to be used 24 hours a day, this Bosch Flexidome 7000i features a switchable IR-cut filter for true day/night monitoring. To enhance this, it also includes 360° IR illumination, allowing up to 30m from the camera can be seen. Additional features include Bosch Intelligent Analytics, a built-in microphone and IP66 weather-resistance

Camera

Each sensor features an individually adjustable varifocal lens with views of 38° to 85°, allowing the optimum scene coverage to be set during installation. Support for audio in this unit is provided with a built-in microphone, giving the user ability to hear and record audio within the field of view. Audio I/O ports also support the connection of a speaker (not included) providing two-way communications or the connection of external devices to help enhance alarm signalling. Furthermore, built to be robust in outdoor environments, IP66 and IK10-rated housing offers protection against harsh weather conditions and impact protection up to 20 Joules.

Imaging

A wide range of imaging technologies are included to ensure that footage is of the optimum quality, whatever the light conditions. High Dynamic Range technology ensures details in both bright and dark areas of high-contrast scenes are apparent, allowing objects and individuals to be more easily identified. Additionally, privacy masking conceals areas not permitted to be recorded, protecting the privacy of residents or vulnerable individuals.

Video analytics

Individually calibrated for each sensor, Bosch’s Intelligent Video Analytics are able to reduce false alarms caused by snow, wind, and reflections on water by intuitively differentiating between genuine security events and known false triggers, delivering high levels of accuracy for reliable and relevant detection. Furthermore, Camera Trainer uses machine learning to tailor the analytics to user-defined objects and situations.

Video management

Data can be stored locally if the network connection is suddenly lost, thanks to the onboard MicroSD card slot (card not included). Users can remotely access live and recorded video on a mobile device via the free Bosch Viewer application, however, if more sophisticated video management is required, Bosch has a range of options with their Video Management Software (BVMS) including Lite, Plus and Professional levels. The camera also supports video management via Milestone XProtect if this software is preferred.

Installation

Designed for straightforward installation, a handful of features including support for PoE+ and digital sensor adjustment eliminate the need for expensive cabling and hands-on fine-tuning. High-capacity power and network connection are delivered over one cable with support for Power-over-Ethernet Plus (PoE+), whilst digital pan, rotate tilt and roll allow each sensor to be remotely adjusted to the required position. Furthermore, Bosch’s Project Assistant application allows installers to perform initial configuration using a mobile device to set lens zoom and focus.
