Ideal for perimeter security and long-range detection, this high-performance thermal camera provides 24/7 early detection warnings of objects even at extended distances. It features extremely high thermal sensitivity with 384x288 (QVGA) thermal resolution, capable of reliable object detection in demanding conditions that normally would limit visibility such as in fog and smoke. Equipped with a 60mm fixed lens, it captures close-up pictures at long range with electronic image stabilisation (EIS) ensuring a steady video stream when subject to wind and vibrations.
Engineered for outdoor environments, the camera's IP66/67 and IK10-rated casing protects it from harsh weather and vandalism. Four configurable I/O ports allow integration with external devices like alarms and speakers, enabling real-time proactive response to detected events. Different thermal palettes can be applied to better distinguish heat sources, improving scene interpretation.
The camera also comes with built-in motion detection analytics and supports third-party analytics integration, allowing for a more customised and advanced thermal detection system. The camera requires additional accessories for mounting to walls, ceilings and poles, and can be installed on the Axis T99A12 positioning unit for user-controlled multi-directional monitoring.
The preinstalled powerful analytics includes Axis Motion Guard, Fence Guard and Loitering Guard enabling users to run monitoring scenarios and receive alerts triggered by motion detection, virtual line crossing or loitering for enhanced detection and verification. The AI-based functionality of the device supports the use of the scalable Axis Perimeter Defender application for even greater detection capabilities, classifying humans and vehicles with minimal false alarms.
This camera also supports other Axis and third-party applications, enabling greater functionality for the camera to meet more specialist demands.
