Fitting seamlessly into almost any indoor environment due to its compact form factor, the Axis M4218-LV captures highly detailed 4K video, even in difficult lighting conditions with advanced imaging technologies such as WDR. With AI-based Axis Object Analytics included, this camera provides highly accurate detection and fast retrieval of any required footage with forensic search capabilities. Furthermore, a live feed from the camera can be displayed on a public viewing monitor via the built-in HDMI port, helping discourage shoplifting and abuse behaviour in shops for example. Versatile and unobtrusive, this handy little dome is ideal for deployment in retail stores, hospitality, schools, hospitals or general offices. It is particularly suitable for use at building entrances. 

Imaging and Optics

Designed to deliver excellent 4K resolution video at up to 15 frames per second, the Axis M4218-V takes your CCTV security to the next level with clear and detailed footage that improves the chance of identifying individuals of interest. Using the 3.5mm – 6.6mm varifocal lens you can set your desired horizontal and vertical viewing angle between 93°– 47° and 50°– 26° respectively, enabling you to tailor the camera’s view to your exact requirements. If an individual’s identity must be concealed, Axis Live Privacy Shield dynamically masks objects, even if they are moving. The camera also benefits from Corridor Mode which optimises the field of view in narrow scenes, ensuring only relevant areas are captured.

Video Analytics

Preloaded with Axis Object Analytics, this camera makes detecting and monitoring individuals easy, using AI-based algorithms, this advanced application intelligently analyses the scene and ignores irrelevant or false events for highly accurate alerts. You can also define what you want to detect, when, and where you want to detect it and set up to 10 different detection scenarios for more effective security monitoring.

Support for additional Axis applications and third-party applications expands the camera’s functionality and allows you to create a bespoke monitoring solution.

At just 120mm in diameter and 71mm in height and able to be repainted to blend in with almost any interior, this compact dome is ideal for discreet surveillance that does not interfere with its surroundings. Not only is this palm-sized camera unobtrusive, but it is also protected against dust and tampering with its IP42 and IK08-rated aluminium casing. Powered by PoE, the Axis M4218-V features installation aids such as Pixel Counter, Remote Focus and Zoom, and Level Grid to help make integration as simple and precise as possible.
