Compact and versatile, this robust, vandal-resistant dome by Axis can be seamlessly integrated into indoor environments. It offers reliable detection of individuals to protect against loitering or intrusion. It delivers clear 2 megapixel footage for high-quality monitoring, whilst Zipstream technology intelligently reduces bandwidth and storage without compromising important forensic details. Theft or unwanted behaviour in public areas such as shops or hospitals can be deterred by connecting the camera directly to a public viewing monitor through the built-in HDMI port. Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform, also safeguards the camera against hack attempts. Able to be discreetly installed, the Axis M4215-V dome is ideal for use in public spaces and businesses, including education, retail and hospitality. 

Imaging and Optics

Equipped with Lightfinder technology, the Axis M4215-V delivers full-colour 2 megapixel imaging at up to 30 frames per second, even when light levels are as low as 0.14 lux. Also featuring an automatic IR cut filter, the camera will switch to monochrome image capture if it is in near darkness (down to 0.03 lux). The camera’s 3.5 mm – 6.6 mm varifocal lens is able to provide a horizontal viewing angle of 93° to 47° and a vertical view of 50° to 26°, which are all easily adjustable at installation. Corridor Format is also available to optimise the image usability in narrow areas such as hallways, whilst WDR technology improves video captured in high-contrast environments such as entrances and reception areas. Privacy Masking is available for when privacy protection is needed. 

Video Analytics

Detecting and monitoring the presence and behaviour of persons in an area is straightforward with the pre-installed Axis Object Analytics. This AI-based application analyses the scene and spatial behaviour of objects to determine relevant events, reducing instances of false alarms. You can choose what to detect and where, with up to 10 different detection scenarios, providing a tailored monitoring solution that focuses on exactly what you need, whether detecting the dwell time of individuals or virtual line crossing.

This camera also supports other Axis applications and third-party applications, enabling the enhancement of the camera's functionality to meet more specific requirements.

Recording and Video Management

Installation and Mounting Options

Measuring just 120mm in diameter and 71mm in height, this compact dome camera is ideal for areas that require robust, yet unobtrusive surveillance. With IK08 and IP42-rated casing, this sturdy unit is resistant to vandalism and dust. The camera is also re-paintable without voiding its warranty (provided repainting instructions are followed), allowing it to blend into almost any indoor environment. Powered by PoE, the Axis M4215-V supports two-way audio and I/O connections via Portcast technology and features a range of installation aids such as Pixel Counter, Remote Focus and Zoom and Level Grid for quick and easy setup.

The camera can be mounted directly onto a wall or ceiling out of the box. However, additional accessories are available for further mounting options, including:
