This outdoor, vandal-resistant intercom features a 5MP IP camera with a built-in microphone and speaker for effective two-way communication, video identification and remote entry control. Integrated IR LEDs help to enhance true day/night recording and imaging technologies help to improve image quality in challenging lighting conditions. Additional features include support for Power over Ethernet (PoE), edge storage and remote access to the unit via the free Axis Companion mobile application.
The unit’s built-in IP camera captures 5MP resolution video at up to 25 frames per second (fps) and features a wide 140° horizontal field of view. This outdoor-ready intercom is ideal for video monitoring in complete darkness, with 940nm IR LEDs that enable reliable identification of visitors at a distance of up to 5m. It also features an integrated microphone and speaker for two-way audio. Echo and noise cancellation help to ensure voices are audible even in areas with lots of background noise such as in warehouses and loading bays. Additionally, I/O ports enable the remote controls of door locks and other equipment to help improve access control.
WDR technology is included and renders details evenly in strongly backlit scenes, ensuring objects and individuals can be identified clearly.
This high-quality intercom unit features various motion detection methods which can be configured to help enhance dynamic scene awareness and deliver reliable security monitoring of access points. It supports Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for IP phone system integration and also features support for the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) – enabling the installation of intelligent edge-based analytics from Axis and third-party developers.
Recordings can be written to the onboard microSD card (not included) to provide a helpful backup of data if the network fails. For simple video management, users can remotely access the unit via the free Axis Companion application. More sophisticated video management is also possible through integration with more high-performance applications, such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect. In addition, a cloud-based solution can be implemented through the intuitive Morphean Cloud CCTV platform or CamStreamer Cloud CCTV.
PoE support allows the unit to receive power and network connection over a single cable – simplifying the installation process. The robust intercom fits into 2-gang installation boxes and features no visible screws, meaning the casing simply snaps on. Additionally, the unit can be reliably used at demanding outdoor access points thanks to its vandal-resistant IK10-rated casing.
Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
