With a width of just 48 mm, this highly compact network video intercom is the ideal choice for entry control in offices, schools, or apartment buildings. You can easily communicate with people via the built-in microphones and speaker, and SIP support enables IP phone system integration. For intuitive scene awareness, this camera comes with a range of analytics preinstalled, including the highly accurate Axis Object Analytics. The intercom is protected from malware and unauthorised access thanks to built-in cybersecurity features such as signed video and Axis Edge Vault. Additionally, Video capture is improved in challenging light conditions with advanced imaging technologies such as Lightfinder and WDR.

Imaging and Optics

Delivering 5MP resolution video at up to 30 fps and a wide-angle horizontal view of 162°, the Axis I8116-E can capture footage in a range of light conditions. WDR technology renders details evenly in strongly backlit scenes, typical with video doorbell or access control cameras, ensuring objects and individuals can be identified clearly, whilst Lightfinder produces full resolution, colour images when the light level drops as low as 0.15 lux, so the unit is fully operable in high contrast or dark conditions.

Video Analytics

Built with a DLPU and pre-installed object analytics, this compact intercom is able to detect and classify humans and vehicles and can be tailored to your needs with support for up to 10 simultaneous trigger conditions. The built-in audio devices also enable audio detection or allow you to record and play clips or trigger alarms when an event occurs.

Installation and Mounting Options

Small in size and able to be directly mounted to walls, doorframes or mullions, this network video intercom is simple to install, and fuss-free to run, with a range of installation features. PoE supplies the unit with both power and network connectivity over a single cable for a quick and cost-effective installation, whilst Zipstream technology reduces storage requirements by optimising bandwidth. Furthermore, an additional ID card reader (sold separately) can be connected to this device for a complete access control solution.

The unit is wall mountable out of the box, but if you would prefer to install it into a wall recess, you can purchase the TI8204 recessed mount.
