Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, this keypad door reader works alongside Axis network door controllers and credentials to deliver a secure, safe and reliable access control system. As well as a touch keypad for entering access codes, the reader supports most types of smart RFID cards and key fobs using 13.56MHz credential technologies for contactless entry, including MIFARE cards. The unit is easy to install on flat surfaces and single-gang boxes, and is rated IP66 and IK07 for effective weather and vandalism protection. An RGB LED light on the front of the unit indicates when the system is locked and unlocked. The optional Axis TA4201 weather shield protects the reader from extreme conditions and helps to conceal code input.
Security
Built-in cybersecurity features help prevent unauthorised access and safeguard your system, including Secure Channel Protocol (SCP) and Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP). The EAL6+ certified secure element hardware ensures all cryptographic keys are safe and securely stored. The device also includes a built-in tamper switch for detecting both open casing and attempts at removing the reader from the wall.
