Overview of the Panasonic i-Pro WV-SW174W

The Panasonic WV-SW174W is an outdoor wireless network camera offering an impressive feature set including an IP55-rated casing for weatherproof, outdoor deployment and powered pan and tilt movement to allow you to control the camera's view. In addition, the WV-SW174W is Wireless-N compliant. Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) support also makes wireless setup quick and easy.

The camera's HD 720p resolution (1280x960 at 30fps) ensures images are sharp and clear. When light levels drop, the WV-SW174W's electronic day/night system produces monochrome black and white video with increased light sensitivity. The signal noise common in low-light surveillance is limited with the camera's 3D noise reduction feature, resulting in improved image clarity at night and in the dark.

Operators can communicate with subjects in view through the camera's 2-way audio capability and built-in microphone (requires an external speaker such as the Axis C1410 network speaker). An audio line-in jack is also built-in. Additionally, Panasonic's useful Face detection system optimises the camera's exposure when faces are in detected, increasing the likelihood of identification when operating in demanding light conditions.
