Overview of the Panasonic BL-VP104

The BL-VP104 is a small and cost-effective HD720p resolution IP camera and successor to Panasonic's best-selling BL-C101.

The camera is well-suited to monitoring in poor lighting, with an Electronic Day/Night feature providing monochrome video with improved light sensitivity, as well as 3D noise reduction which lowers image noise for a clearer, sharper output. The camera is ONVIF compliant so can be integrated with a large range of recording devices which may not directly support it, while a single-camera license for Panasonic's Network Camera Recorder software is included at no additional cost.

Face detection is featured on the camera, recognising faces in the view and sending details to recording applications. A wall/ceiling-mount stand is included with the camera, for mounting without the need for additional hardware.

Key improvements over the Panasonic BL-C101

• Resolution has increased from VGA (640x480) to HD720p (1280x720)
• The colour low-light mode has been replaced by Electronic Day/Night and 3D noise reduction to capture sharper, more detailed low-light footage
• ONVIF support allows the camera to integrate with many third-party recording platforms
