The Milestone XProtect Access add-on application integrates a user’s access control system into Milestone XProtect video management software to offer more in-depth management and analysis of entry and exit points. Compatible with XProtect Express+, Professional+, Expert and Corporate, it is a flexible application with support for up to 5,000 access points - ideal for any sized installation from large business centres with many access points, to retail stores with just a few. By connecting access control systems to XProtect - video recording capabilities are enabled, centralised system management can be achieved, and overall building security is enhanced.
Ideal for use in environments that require authorised entry and management of visitors, this add-on application enables access control to be combined with an XProtect VMS system - allowing for video to assist with improved identification of visitors. Alarm functionality allows users to configure notifications and trigger recordings through XProtect Smart Client so that, in the case of a triggered event, potentially critical footage can be captured – offering the potential to identify an unauthorised individual. Additionally, the map function enables status monitoring of access points so that users can efficiently secure entryways.
This application allows users to remotely monitor access points and gain more information on the individuals who enter their premises. It simultaneously captures video of all access points across a location, allowing operators to keep track of visitors and secure entry/exit points against intruders. Users are also able to remotely assist individuals at access control points using embedded audio controls and remote access through XProtect Smart Client, quickly and efficiently solving any issues that arise. By centralising access control within the VMS, this add-on also reduces the need for staff to physically man accessways and verify personnel - providing a remote and effective security option.
This app is designed to be used alongside an access control system, as it works with most access control systems, users have the freedom to choose one that fits their needs and budget. To obtain the best performance, Milestone recommends that cameras should be positioned with a clear view of the access point. Video information, maps and alarms are accessed through Milestone’s XProtect VMS (requires the purchase of an XProtect base licence and XProtect device licences). Additionally, Access Control vendors handle the application’s pre-integration, allowing for a simple and cost-effective installation.
Please note: This product is a base licence – door licences are required for each connected access point - selectable from the accessories tab. This product is an add-on licence for a Milestone XProtect VMS system. If an existing system is not in place, an XProtect base licence (Express+, Professional+, Expert or Corporate ) and XProtect device licences for each camera will need to be purchased.
The XProtect Access add-on application combines video monitoring and access control to create a centralised surveillance solution for locations with several access points. Typical applications include business centres, office buildings and schools.
