Part of the Axis P12 series, this modular IP camera combines the Axis P12 Mk II main unit and a separate FA4115 dome sensor to provide unobtrusive, HD surveillance of indoor locations. Easily installed via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), the camera also offers support for edge storage, Zipstream technology and remote access via the free Axis Companion application.
The palm-sized dome sensor delivers HD 1080p resolution at full frame rate and features a varifocal lens which offers wide horizontal views of up to 99° for optimum scene coverage. The dome can be easily mounted onto a wall or ceiling using the included base plate, then manually rotated and tilted to provide the desired viewing direction. For flexible installation options, users can also place the sensor unit up to 8m away from the main unit using a detachable cable.
Wide dynamic range (WDR) – Forensic Capture helps to improve the quality of images captured in high-contrast scenes by lowering noise levels and increasing the image signal. In addition, Axis Corridor Format is also included to maximise the area of interest in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream and preventing redundant areas from being recorded.
The free Axis Companion application offers simple video management for up to 16 camera channels and is available as a PC client or mobile application for iOS and Android devices. This handy software provides remote access to live views as well as playback of recordings.
Video motion detection and tampering alarms can be configured to inform users of activity via a choice of notifications including email. These motion detection alarms can also be set to trigger MicroSD card recording when using the Axis Companion mobile app.
Axis Zipstream technology analyses and optimises the video stream in real-time, recording important details in high quality, whilst filtering out other areas to help reduce bandwidth and storage use. In addition, PoE supplies power and network connection to the camera through one cable - simplifying installation.
Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
