Overview of the Axis M3106-LVE Mk II

This robust mini-dome by Axis delivers clear 4MP/Quad HD 1440p (4 x 720p) resolution images, complete with built-in infrared (IR) illumination for true day/night recording and a flat-faced design that supresses reflections. Its outdoor housing is vandal-resistant and adjustable to offer flexibility when mounting in external locations. Additional features include Axis Zipstream technology, H.265 compression format, edge storage and support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to help simplify installation.

The unit offers improved imaging in low-light thanks to the integrated IR LED that illuminates up to 15m, and its innovative flat-faced design helps to suppress light reflections. Using Axis Corridor Format, users can vertically orientate the video stream to help maximise area coverage and reduce bandwidth when monitoring narrow scenes. In addition, support for multi-view streaming allows a maximum of 2 areas in the camera's field of view to be cropped and streamed separately for live viewing or recording.

The Axis Companion application is free to download and offers a simple video management solution for up to 16 IP cameras. Available as a PC client or mobile application for iOS and android devices, this handy software offers remote access to live views as well as playback of recordings.

Users can configure camera-based video motion detection and tampering alarms to help notify them of activity via a choice of notifications including email. These motion detection alarms can also be set to trigger MicroSD card recording when using the Axis Companion mobile app.

For simple installation, the unit can be powered using PoE and also includes a handy 3-axis mount for easy adjustment of the lens to obtain the desired view. Axis Zipstream technology lowers bandwidth and storage requirements, ensuring important details within the image are maintained within the stream, while unnecessary data can be removed
