This outdoor-ready mini dome from Axis captures 6MP resolution video at up to 25 frames per second (fps). The camera supports a range of viewing modes including a 360° overview, helping to enable complete coverage of a scene. The inclusion of Axis’ powerful ARTPEC-7 chip in this model means the performance of advanced imaging technologies, such as Lightfinder and Forensic WDR, is improved. Other handy features include two built-in microphones, OptimisedIR technology and support for Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simpler installation.

Camera

Fitted with a 360° panoramic lens, this attractively priced unit provides round-the-clock overview monitoring, capturing footage from all angles and helping to eliminate blind spots. OptimisedIR technology is also included and helps to enhance night vision with a range of reach of up to 20m. Support for audio recording in this unit is provided through two built-in microphones, and two-way audio is also possible by connecting an external speaker via optional Axis T61 audio and I/O interfaces.

Imaging

This compact mini dome offers a range of dewarped views that can be viewed simultaneously, such as panorama, quad, corner and corridor views directly from the camera. Advanced imaging technologies that help to improve the quality of images captured in challenging lighting conditions are also included. Forensic Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology captures details in high-contrast scenes and ensures few motion artefacts are apparent in busy scenes - while Axis Lightfinder technology produces full-colour images even in ambient light extremes. In addition, users can investigate areas of the original image in greater detail thanks to digital Pan/tilt/zoom controls.

Video analytics

Configurable camera-based video motion detection and active tampering alarms help to alert users of activity via a choice of notification methods such as email. Audio detection can also be configured to alert the user of any potential security breaches, enabling quick responses to an event. The camera also features support for the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) which enables the installation of high-performance analytics applications from both Axis and third-party developers.

Video management

Edge storage is included, and recordings can be written to the onboard MicroSD card (sold separately) – providing a helpful backup of data if the network fails. Users can remotely access the unit for simple video management of up to 16 camera channels via the free Axis Companion application. For more sophisticated video management, the camera can be easily integrated into other high-performance VMS such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect. Additionally, a cloud-based solution can be implemented through the intuitive  Morphean Cloud CCTV platform or CamStreamer Cloud.

Installation

To simplify installation, PoE support delivers power and network connectivity to the camera over a single cable. The camera can be used reliably in exposed outdoor locations thanks to its IP66 and IK10-rated casing – protecting it from poor weather conditions and vandalism attempts.

Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
