Axis Camera Station Edge is a flexible, reliable, and user-friendly VMS application for viewing and managing Axis video and audio IP devices. This free to download software is an upgrade on the previous Axis Companion application, offering basic key video management features including accessing live camera views, searching for recordings, and exporting video. As ACS Edge licences are included on supported devices, configuration is simple so its easy to add new devices when required, and without the need for a server it keeps costs to a minimum.
Access live views and manage your system from PC, mobile and web browser. Receive alarm notifications from live events triggered by Axis Object Analytics on compatible devices for real-time incident alerts. Flexible user management allows you to easily share access to your system with multiple users, allowing full control over who can access what in the system. Robust security features and system-wide encryption ensures your system is always secure, including two-factor authentication user access and regular software updates.
As recordings are stored directly to SD cards in Axis devices, there is no need for a server for a minimal, low-maintenance recording solution. You can however opt to increase retention capacity using the Axis S3008 Mk II or S3016 Recorders, or integrate redundant cloud storage with Axis Camera Station Cloud Storage so your recordings are always accessible.
With support for Axis network-based audio devices, you can make live announcements from speakers and set up triggered or scheduled messages for remote communication with staff or to deter intruders. Answer calls from intercoms using either the mobile app or desktop client and respond with live audio. Take actions such as opening a door or activating a speaker onsite.
