This Axis network audio amplifier is designed to transform any passive speaker into a network audio speaker – making it ideal for use in locations where significant investment has been made into an audio system. Together with Audio Management Software, this device provides users with the benefits of network audio.
With integrated audio synchronisation, this versatile unit enables multiple speakers to benefit from network audio via multicast. The Axis Audio Player application is pre-installed and includes a helpful range of features to simplify the delivery of audio announcements and background music, as well as control various audio settings for each speaker individually or simultaneously. Users can create and schedule playlists from music saved to the on-board MicroSD card (not included), or from a variety of the application’s supported music streaming services.
Based on an open platform, this device supports a host of software including Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) – providing access to a range of third-party applications. Built-in test tones are provided for calibration and verification during installation, allowing the user to optimise the speaker’s performance to its specific surroundings.
Featuring a built-in amplifier and Digital Signal Processor (DSP), it delivers a total of 15w power and requires no additional equipment – simplifying the transition towards network audio. In addition, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) supplies power and network connection over one cable for quick and cost-effective deployment.
