Milestone XProtect Essential recording software, base license, expandable up to 26 IP cameras [XP-ES-BL]

Milestone XProtect Essential is a feature-rich IP video recording suite designed for small-to-mid sized businesses. This XProtect Essential Base License also includes two Camera Licenses and can be expanded to a maximum of 26 connected cameras or video encoder channels. The additional Camera Licenses are available separately. Compatible with almost 1,000 different IP camera models, the XProtect Essential software suite offers the flexibility to be used with most small to medium-sized CCTV installations.

Installation of the software is very quick and easy, with a number of features designed to speed up and simplify installation, such as the setup wizard, bulk camera configuration for larger systems and settings import tool. The software also features a camera-independent video motion detection system which can be used to trigger recording, lowering hard drive requirements, as well as sending emails to alert users.

XProtect Essential provides full mobile phone monitoring with dedicated clients for iPhone and Android-based devices. Additionally, these phones can be integrated into the XProtect recording system, ideal fro first-responders or security guards to catch live video from the scene. In addition to the Smart client, XProtect's Web client can also be viewed from Windows, Mac and Linux-based PCs, providing flexibility when monitoring remotely.

Milestone XProtect Essential - Licensing structure

• XProtect Essential Base License
  The base license is required for installation of XProtect Essential on your server. The license is for single-server installation only. The base license includes two camera licenses, allowing you to connect two IP cameras to the system
• XProtect Essential Camera License
  In addition to the base license a camera license is required for every IP camera or video encoder channel you wish to add your system. To buy camera licenses please go to Milestone XProtect Essential camera license.
• Software Update Plan (SUP)
  We recommend that Software Update Plans (SUPs) are purchased with licenses so that your system remains up-to-date. Milestone releases updates (called Device Packs) almost every two months, containing bug fixes, additional features and wider camera support. SUPs are bought by selecting a term length from the options above.
