The Paxton Proximity Reader P50 is a contactless RFID access control door reader designed for use with Paxton Net2 systems. The reader is multi-format and can be used with a choice of access tokens including MIFARE^® Classic protocol ISO 14443A. It can also be used with EM4100 and Paxton Net2 tokens. It detects authorised credentials when held near the reader to grant or deny access. The slim, low–profile reader mounts easily on surfaces and provides status indication through multi-coloured LEDs. The P50 reader is compatible with a range of standard Paxton Net2 proximity cards and keyfobs.

Operation

Users present a compatible fob or card to the reader to gain access. The reader grants or denies entry and provides clear LED status indication with red or green lights. Slim and reliable, the P50 is ideal for office doors, staff entrances and internal access points.

Installation

This reader mounts easily on standard surface locations with a simple rear cable exit for accurate drilling. Wiring is labelled on the control unit for straightforward connection to the door controller. Avoid installing on metal surfaces or close to other readers to maintain optimal read range. The reader is IPX7 rated, suitable for use indoors and outdoors.
