The Paxton Proximity Metal Reader in satin chrome is a rugged contactless access control reader for Paxton Net2 systems. It can be used indoors or outdoors and is suitable for mounting on metal surfaces without disrupting performance. The cast metal housing ensures durability while maintaining reliable performance in demanding environments.
Operation
Presenting a proximity token within range allows the reader to capture the credential and send it to the Net2 control unit. The control unit checks access permissions and grants or denies entry. LEDs provide clear visual feedback - green for access granted, red for access denied.
Installation
The reader comes with a backplate, security screws, and key for secure mounting. Colour-coded wiring simplifies connection to the control unit. Its metal housing reduces read interference when installed near other metal objects.
