Overview of Panasonic i-PRO WV-X6511N

This outdoor-ready PTZ dome by Panasonic i-PRO delivers smooth HD 720p video at up to 60 frames per second – 24 hours a day. Its vandal-resistant, IK10-rated metal housing offers protection in exposed areas and areas of interest can be examined in detail using the camera’s full pan/tilt functionality and 40x optical zoom. Additional features include on-board SD card recording, H.265 compression and support for Power-over-Ethernet Plus (PoE+).

Endless 360° pan and variable pan/tilt movements provide quick and precise navigation across wide areas, ideal when closely monitoring a person or incident. The unit’s powerful 40x optical zoom allows detailed investigation into specific regions of the scene, and Intelligent Zoom Stabilisation technology helps to reduce visible shaking – even when the camera is fully zoomed in.

A combination of Extreme Super Dynamic and Adaptive Black Stretch (ABS) technologies help to improve images captured in difficult lighting conditions by compensating for bright light and dark shadows. The camera also utilises Intelligent Auto (iA) mode to reduce image distortion by monitoring scene dynamics and motion, then automatically adjusting key camera settings in real-time - this can be particularly helpful when monitoring busy scenes.

Four programmable video motion detection zones are available to provide reliable security surveillance. When motion is detected in a specified area, alarms can be set to trigger edge recording and also inform users of activity via email notification. In addition, a range of alarm and audio I/O ports support the connection of external devices – helping to enhance alarm signalling or enable features such as two-way audio.

Auto Variable Image Quality on Specified Area (VIQS) technology allows eight designated areas of the image to retain higher image quality whilst all other areas are streamed in lower quality. This handy technology helps to reduce image file size and bit-rate. H.265 compression format is also supported - offering further reductions on bandwidth and storage over H.264.
