The Panasonic i-PRO WV-SPW312L has been designed to be a high quality and cost effective outdoor-ready IP camera, packed with features at a competitive price point. It's capable of delivering clear, 720p HD resolution images round the clock with true day/night recording enhanced by integrated infrared illumination. The inclusion of intelligent IR LEDs, Smart Coding Technology, on-board recording and integrated image processing make this a versatile and affordable HD bullet camera.

The built-in infrared (IR) LEDs have a radiant distance of up 30m and Panasonic's intelligent IR technology means the camera automatically adapts to the lighting of the environment, reducing the need for user input. This model features Smart Coding technology which is designed to reduce bandwidth consumption by up to 60% and thus save on storage costs. Panasonic achieves this by using an encoding algorithm that enhances the H.264 standard, whilst maintaining full compliance.

Panasonic have included several image processing features such as wide dynamic range (WDR), noise reduction and highlight compensation to cater for challenging light conditions. Their Variable Image Quality on Specified Area (VIQS) technology is also included and this allows a user to select specific areas within an image to stream in high quality. All areas outside of this specified area are streamed in lower quality, thus reducing the file size of the stream.

The WV-SPW312L has a relatively unobtrusive design compared with a lot of other fixed bullet cameras, making it suitable for unobtrusive surveillance in customer facing environments. Support for on-board recording via SD card (card not included), mobile viewing and Power over Ethernet (PoE) means the camera is ideal for those requiring a simple to install, standalone CCTV system.
