Overview of the Panasonic i-Pro WV-SF549

Like its sibling the WV-SF548, the Panasonic WV-SF549 is fitted with a vandal-resistant casing and produces 3.1 megapixel resolution video. However, the SF549 also includes integrated recording to SDXC cards and 2-way audio. Additionally, true day/night switching captures infrared light at night, improving image brightness in near-dark conditions or integrating with external infrared lighting for true night vision.

For demanding light environments such as uneven, high contrast lighting or areas with strong backlight, the camera's Wide Dynamic Range software captures detail where other cameras can't. The WV-SF549 can also detect faces in view and adjust exposure settings for easy identification. Panasonic's unique Variable Image Quality on Specified areas feature helps to lower recording costs, lowering video sizes by dropping image quality on non-essential areas, reducing storage requirements.
