Designed for use onboard compatible AXIS PTZ cameras, the PlaneTracker App from CamStreamer is a smart application that provides airports and critical infrastructure with an automated tracking system to visually monitor and track aircraft and drones in real-time. It enables airports to enhance visual control of aircraft across runways, increasing situational awareness during critical safety manoeuvres such as take-offs and landings. Receive live flight information of the aircraft captured by the camera and displayed directly on the video feed, which also enables metadata search to rapidly retrieve incident recordings within your chosen video management system (VMS). The application can also be used to implement a live streaming service and as a marketing tool for airports and airlines, delivering high-quality footage of planes appealing to enthusiasts and streamers alike.

Please note: A single PlaneTracker App licence is required per Axis IP camera per year.

Operation

A local ADS-B receiver sends flight data of the aircraft in sight to the PlaneTracker app onboard the camera, calculates the flight path, and adjusts the camera to ensure continuous visual tracking regardless of weather conditions or time of day. Simultaneously, the app displays the received information in the video feed and stores it, along with the recording, in your chosen VMS.

Camera Compatibility

The PlaneTracker app works seamlessly with the AXIS Q6225-LE PTZ IP camera. This high-performance camera is ideal for larger and more exposed external applications such as airports and runways. It delivers detailed footage in HD 1080p resolution allowing viewers to easily identify aircraft on the runway or whilst in flight. Endless 360° pan functionality and 31x optical zoom ensures continuous monitoring up to 15km around the runway perimeter, documenting key moments including take-offs and landings.

Drone Tracking

Receive the precise, real-time location of both the drone and its operator to help quickly de-escalate threats. PlaneTracker App receives Remote ID signals from Dronetag Scout, calculates the flight path, and adjusts the camera to ensure continuous monitoring of the drone or a drone operator. Simultaneously, the app sends the data, video feed, and recordings to the VMS.

Recording and Video Management

PlaneTracker App uploads recordings and searchable metadata to supported VMS platforms such as Milestone XProtect, providing critical input for incident investigations. Tracked aircraft are logged in reports where you can easily search by various parameters and jump directly to related video bookmarks.

• PlaneTracker app Base 1-year licence for airports with less than 50,000 operations per year (801-001)
• PlaneTracker app Premium 1-year licence for airports with more than 50,000 operations per year (801-002)
• PlaneTracker app for drones only (801-003)
