Working together with both Bosch IVA Pro Buildings and IVA Pro Traffic analytics, this application licence enhances the performance of Bosch MIC and Autodome PTZ cameras by enabling them to detect, track and follow objects and individuals. Once a person or vehicle is detected in the field of view, the camera's position is adjusted by panning, tilting and zooming to ensure it remains within view.
IVA Pro Intelligent Tracking is based on deep learning, using AI-driven algorithms to improve the overall accuracy of detection and classification, and is able to detect and separate upright persons as well as vehicles. This minimises the number of false alarms triggered by objects such as falling leaves and vehicle headlights, so operators can focus only on important events.
Bosch MIC and Autodome PTZ cameras typically support two Intelligent Tracking modes:
- Auto mode: when the camera picks up an object that has triggered an alarm, it automatically follows it by adjusting the camera's position to the extent the camera can move or until the object completely disppears from view.
- Click mode: operators can use the VMS to click on a subject of interest and the camera will proceed to track automatically. This is useful in crowded scenes as a potentially suspicious individual or vehicle can be singled out for the camera to focus on and follow.
The object classes IVA Pro Intelligent Tracking can pick up varies depending which video analytics platform it is working in conjunction with. When used with IVA Pro Buildings then the technology can distinguish upright persons and vehicles, whereas when used with IVA Pro Traffic then the following classes are available: person, bicycle, motorbike, car, bus, truck.
