Overview of the Axis V5915

The Axis V5915 is a video and audio streaming camera for broadcasting live webcasts or the playback of recorded events such as speakers at conferences, training sessions, graduation ceremonies, interviews or peer-to-peer video conferencing. The camera is able to webcast in a range of formats including Microsoft Lync and Skype. Features include pan/tilt, 30x optical zoom, an HDMI output and support for two-way audio.

A live webcast to a larger audience can be easily set up using the built-in Streaming Assistant feature and the unit’s open interface enables easy integration with other systems allowing the camera to be used in a wide range of applications.

The unit features a zoom lens that allows details to be captured over long distances and P-iris control to help deliver an optimum, well balanced image. Pan/tilt functionality and adjustable zoom speeds are helpful when following a subject’s movements during live events. An additional control board accessory is available (see related products tab) for easy camera control.

Capable of delivering full HD resolution at up to 50 frames per second, this PTZ IP camera provides high quality imaging and smooth video footage. WDR – Dynamic Capture helps to deliver well balanced images by retaining details in high contrast scenes - ideal for broadcasting applications. The technology combines several images, each with different exposures, to capture both bright and dark areas of a scene - helpful in challenging light conditions.

The camera can be connected to a range of external devices to help meet the user’s audio and video requirements. With the connection of a microphone and speaker, the unit delivers two-way, CD-quality audio that can be streamed live with video. Additionally, an integrated HDMI output allows the connection of a monitor to display live footage from the camera.
