Overview of the Axis Q7411

The Axis Q7411 video encoder is the first to output video at frame rates up to 50fps, ensuring encoded video captures fast-moving actions such as sleight-of-hand. The encoder converts a single analogue video feed for transmission across IP networks, offering enhancements such as remote monitoring, more efficient recording and other integration opportunities.

A single pan-tilt-zoom camera can be controlled through the encoder's web interface, with support for both RS-485 and control-over-coax systems. Operators can also use the Q7411's 2-way audio system to interact with people in view or warn off intruders.

The built-in recording system stores video to a MicroSD memory card or networked storage, while with support for the Axis Camera Application Platform, additional camera features can be added to the encoder as required. On-board tampering detection also alerts operators if cameras are moved or obscured, minimising camera downtime.
