Overview of the Axis Q6052-E

This PTZ dome by Axis delivers smooth D1 resolution at up to 50 frames per second (fps), complete with true day/night recording. Its IK10 rated metal housing offers robust protection in exposed locations and areas of interest can be examined in detail using the camera’s full pan/tilt/zoom functionality and 36x optical zoom. Additional features include Axis’ Lightfinder technology, integrated SD card storage and a supplied High Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) midspan.

Endless 360° pan and variable pan/tilt movements provide quick and precise navigation across a wide area, ideal when closely monitoring an individual or object. PTZ performance is improved using focus recall technology that provides instant focus in predefined areas - even in challenging lighting conditions. This helpful feature removes the need to manually focus or wait for autofocus to adjust and is a useful tool in scenarios that require a lot of manual operation using a joystick.

Imaging technologies such as wide dynamic range (WDR) allow details in scenes with bright and dark areas to be viewed clearly, whilst Axis’ Lightfinder provides full colour viewing in ambient light extremes. Additionally, Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) is included to ensure video is smooth and steady despite camera vibrations.

Configurable motion detection alarms help to alert users of activity in pre-defined areas of the scene. When used alongside Axis’ Active Gatekeeper, these alarms can also trigger the camera to pan to a preset position and then auto track the object or individual until it moves outside the field of view.

Suitable for deployment in external areas, the unit features a vandal-resistant housing alongside Axis’ Arctic Temperature Control to enable safe start-up in temperatures as low as -40°C.

Axis’ Zipstream technology is included to help lower bandwidth and storage requirements by an average of up to 50%. This award winning technology ensures important details in the image are retained in the video stream, while unnecessary data can be removed. Support for High PoE offers a cost-effective installation solution as both power and network connectivity are supplied through a single cable. In addition, built-in SD card storage (card not included) provides a handy data back up if network connection is lost.
