- Robust thermal camera that enables you to remotely monitor spot temperatures
- Offers a choice of lenses and framerates to suit your application.
- Built on the powerful ARTPEC-8 chipset, it makes use of highly intuitive deep-learning analytics such as early fire detection.
- A TPM and Axis Edge Vault are among the advanced cybersecurity features included to safeguard your data.
- Support for edge-to-edge technology enables you to connect audio devices to enhance alarm signalling or enable audio detection.
Engineered to provide reliable thermal imaging at 384x288 resolution, the Axis Q2101-TE is a powerful unit that enables you to monitor temperatures remotely over large areas such as factory floors, power stations and shipping docks. Equipped with Axis’ latest ARTPEC-8 chipset, the camera features superior analytic capabilities based on AI, including the invaluable early fire detection that can alert you to signs of fire or overheating before they become a problem. Secure and reliable, the camera is equipped with Axis Edge Vault and a FIPS 140-2 level 2 certified TPM to keep it safe from unauthorised access. Furthermore, audio devices can be connected via edge-to-edge technology, expanding detection opportunities with enhanced alarm signalling or audio detection capabilities.
Imaging and Optics
With three lens sizes to choose from, including 7mm (55° horizontal field of view), 13mm (28°), and 19mm (19.4°), this thermal camera can be tailored to your specific requirements. A choice of frame rate is also available (between 8.5 fps and 30 fps), allowing you to choose the best option based on how busy your monitoring area is. Thermometric guard tour capabilities are available when mounted on a positioning unit (T99A12 unit sold separately), both on command or on a schedule, supporting the camera to move across up to 256 positioning presets and measure temperature in up to 10 predefined detection areas. The isothermal palette enables you to choose a colour range to represent temperatures in a scene, helping you to easily identify objects that are approaching their temperature limit at a glance. Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) provides smooth video when the camera is subject to vibrations. Moreover, Privacy masking conceals private areas of the footage, whilst corridor format can be used to reduce bandwidth and optimise capture in narrow areas.
Video Analytics
In addition to standard deep learning analytics such as Loitering Guard, Motion Guard and Fence Guard, this camera is preinstalled with Axis’ early fire detection analytics to set warnings or alarm triggers that alert you when early signs of fire are detected. Along with spot temperature reading, you are able to remotely monitor temperatures, automatically or manually, from -40 °C to 350 °C, helping alert you when equipment is close to overheating, avoiding downtime and improving operational efficiency. Smart filtering is another handy feature that disregards uninteresting hot objects like car exhausts, allowing the camera to provide more accurate readings and alerts. The Q2101-TE is also able to collect advanced temperature metadata to enable statistics, follow-up, and process analysis.
To customise your surveillance, a range of Axis applications and third-party applications are available.
