Designed for high-performance outdoor monitoring, the advanced Q1805-LE by Axis offers incredibly smooth 2MP resolution video at up to 90 fps. This camera is ideal for delivering crisp footage of fast-moving objects such as vehicles in car parks or industrial settings. This sophisticated unit is built on Axis’ latest ARTPEC-8 chipset, providing improved processing, accurate data analysis, and gathering of important metadata with Axis Object Analytics. The camera’s 32x optical zoom allows it to be positioned at a distance from areas of interest and still provides reliable identification. Furthermore, a variety of imaging technologies such as OptimisedIR, EIS and Lightfinder 2.0 ensure that the footage captured is clear, however challenging the conditions.
Imaging and Optics
Setting the optimal scene coverage at installation is straightforward with the 4.3mm – 137mm, varifocal lens. You can choose and set your desired viewing angle between 60° and 2.3°. The camera’s 32x optical zoom allows greater levels of detail to be captured at a distance and lets you to closely inspect areas of interest. In challenging or exceptionally low light conditions down to 0.06lux, the Q1805-LE can still produce sharp, full-colour footage using its Lightfinder 2.0 technioology. When light levels dip into complete darkness, the camera’s OptimisedIR LEDs help produce clear monochrome video from up to 100m from the camera. Optimised for motion, Forensic WDR technology improves the clarity of high-contrast footage and works alongside the camera’s high frame rate to improve video capture of areas with very high levels of activity or very fast moving objects by reducing motion artefacts. Moreover, electronic image stabilisation (EIS) is included to provide smooth video when the camera is subject to excessive movement or vibrations.
Video Analytics
Equipped with the advanced ARTPEC-8 chipset, the Axis Q1805-LE enables highly advanced video analysis and powerful forensic search capabilities, making retrieval of footage quicker and easier. With high levels of accuracy and reliability, Axis Object Analytics can detect and classify moving objects, whilst minimising false alerts. With the ability to set up to ten simultaneous detection scenarios, it is easy to tailor the detection to your requirements. Additionally, Edge-to-edge support and a PoE output allow external devices to be connected to expand your detection and provide a greater level of scene awareness.

Installation and mounting options
With security at the forefront, this unit features Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform that safeguards sensitive information from tampering and unauthorised access. Along with support for PoE that provides both power and network connection over one cable, the camera has a range of handy features designed to make installation easier. Installation aids such as pixel counter, remote zoom and focus, level grid, and levelling assistant reduce the need for hands-on fine-tuning, helping you get up and running quickly. Axis Zipstream technology also reduces installation costs as it uses intelligent compression algorithms to preserve the quality of relevant forensic data, whilst reducing bandwidth and storage use by an average of 50%.
