Offering 4K UHD resolution video at up to 60fps, this versatile and high-performance block camera is ideal for capturing detail in busy and high-traffic areas. Available in two varifocal P-iris lens variants, the wide lens is ideal for wide angle (108°) coverage of open spaces, whilst the tele lens offers detailed scene investigation at longer distances. It delivers full-colour video even in challenging lighting thanks to Axis' Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR. Built on the ARTPEC-9 CPU from Axis, this high-performance camera features advanced image processing and can run powerful, AI-driven video analytics on the edge.
Its standardised design allows installation in a range of Axis and third-party housings and enclosures for both indoor and outdoor use, for a flexible and scalable solution. Being backwards compatible, you can replace existing cameras within their housings with the Q1728 for a cost-effective upgrade. A stand is included for convenient indoor mounting on a wall or ceiling. An integrated HDMI port allows a local display to be connected for live viewing of footage.
Video Analytics
Axis Object Analytics (AOA) comes preinstalled on the camera for highly accurate detection, classification and counting of humans and vehicles within the scene, including types of vehicle such as cars, buses, trucks and bikes. As the video is analysed on-camera, alerts are generated more quickly for more effective incident response. Detected objects can be visualised on screen within colour-coded bounding boxes.
False alarms are drastically reduced thanks to the unit's Deep Learning CPU which uses AI-based algorithms to ignore irrelevant events such as small animals and falling leaves. Several virtual scenarios can be run simultaneously such as line crossing, object in area and occupancy in area for improved security and to develop actionable business insights.
This camera also supports other Axis and third-party applications, enabling greater functionality for the camera to meet more specialist demands.
