This top-of-the-line IP camera from Axis features an intelligent CS-mount (i-CS) lens and captures smooth, high-quality HD 1080p resolution video at up to 100 frames per second (fps) - making it an ideal choice for open-plan indoor scenes with high levels of activity. Advanced imaging technologies and advanced security functionality is supported thanks to the inclusion of Axis' 7th generation ARTPEC chipset. In addition, the camera's deep learning processing unit (DLPU) combines with this ARTPEC 7 chipset to allow high-performance analytics to be run directly on the camera (at the edge) - resulting in a fast, comprehensive camera solution that can be tailored to the user's surveillance requirements.
Camera
The premium camera features a varifocal lens which provides horizontal viewing angles up to 116° and allows optimum scene coverage to be set during installation. It also includes an intelligent CS-mount lens – enabling users to easily exchange lenses to best suit their monitoring needs (alternative lenses not included). True day/night capability enables detailed HD 1080p footage to be captured 24 hours a day and such footage can be enhanced by one-way audio recording thanks to the unit’s built-in microphone – particularly useful as a complement to video when examining footage for investigation purposes.
Imaging
Using a range of advanced imaging technologies, the camera can capture clear video footage in challenging lighting conditions. Full colour video is delivered in ambient light extremes using Axis’ Lighfinder 2.0 technology and Forensic WDR technology ensures image details are retained even in strongly backlit scenes. Users are also able to examine specific areas of the original image in greater detail with the camera’s digital pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) controls while Axis Corridor Format vertically orientates the video stream – allowing the field of view to be optimised when monitoring narrow areas.
Video analytics
Camera-based video motion detection and tampering alarms are configurable and help to alert users of activity via a choice of notification methods including email. In addition, the unit's DLPU enables users to run third-party applications based on deep learning; resulting in a faster and more scalable system that facilitates complex and powerful analytics such as edge-based automatic incident detection, counting and anomaly detection.
Video management
Edge recording stores video footage onto a MicroSD card (not included) which provides a handy backup of data if connection to the network is lost. This high-quality camera also supports storage to networked attached storage devices (NAS), meaning it also caters to larger storage capacity requirements. Remote access to the unit is possible through the free Axis Companion mobile application which offers simple video management for up to 16 camera channels. For further functionality, this camera can also be easily integrated into other high-performance video management systems such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect.
Installation
For quick and easy installation, an i-CS lens is included which directly exchanges information with the camera, such as zoom position and focus. The installation process is further simplified with support for PoE - enabling the camera to receive power and network connectivity over one cable; also saving on initial costs.
Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
