Providing two cameras in a single unit, this reliable multi-sensor camera is equipped with Axis' powerful ARTPEC-8 chipset and deep learning analytics for proactive monitoring of two different outdoor areas.
Featuring Axis’ latest ARTPEC-8 chipset, this innovative outdoor multi-sensor camera delivers 5MP resolution video from each of its two sensors at full frame rate. This powerful device provides two different views in a single unit, requiring only one IP address and network connection. The camera’s deep learning processing unit (DLPU) and state-of-the-art chipset enable highly accurate and granular analytics capabilities, as well as improved imaging and enhanced cybersecurity. Additional features include IK10 vandal resistance, 360° OptimisedIR illumination and Axis Object Analytics.
Each of the two varifocal lenses allow the desired viewing angle to be set during installation between 36° and 98°. For bandwidth savings of around 50%, this unit includes Axis’ Zipstream technology. Zipstream uses intelligent algorithms to preserve relevant forensic information, whilst optimising storage capacity. Furthermore, OptimisedIR LEDs illuminate 360° around the camera, with a 15m range of reach, enhancing footage captured in dark conditions. OptimisedIR LEDs adjust to specific cameras and situations, ensuring the entire field of view is evenly illuminated.
For optimum quality footage in challenging conditions, the P4707-PLVE employs a number of advanced imaging technologies. Forensic WDR is available to ensure details in high-contrast scenes are not lost by balancing out light and dark areas of the scene. This powerful WDR technology also ensures that few motion artefacts are apparent in busy scenes. The camera is capable of capturing colour images, even in dimly lit environments using Lightfinder technology, making essential details more visible and individuals and objects easier to identify.
Axis’ Object Analytics make use of the unit’s DLPU to provide highly-accurate object detection using AI-based algorithms and behavioural conditions. Able to identify both humans and vehicles and sub-classify vehicles into types (cars, buses, trucks and bikes), this innovative application can use the information it gathers to send alerts to users via email or to trigger an alarm or event. In addition to AOA and basic motion and tampering detection alarms, the camera also has support for audio detection (when an external mic is connected – sold separately), notifying users of any suspicious or loud noises in the camera’s vicinity. Moreover, the Axis Camera Application Platform is available to offer customised analytics, enabling users to tailor their surveillance system.
This camera can record data to the onboard SD card (not included), providing a helpful backup in case of network failure – keeping important information safe. A unique aspect of this unit is the fact that it only requires a single software licence for both camera streams, making this an affordable alternative to a multi-camera setup. The Axis Companion Application can be installed to provide a simple video management solution for up to 16 camera channels. This free software offers remote access to live views and playback of recordings all through a PC client or mobile application. For systems with more than 16 cameras or requiring a more advanced level of management, users can purchase a licence for Axis Camera Station or Milestone XProtect to provide more in-depth management options.
Several handy features make installing this unit straightforward, equipped with installation aids such as remote zoom and focus, pixel counter and level grid, users are able to easily set the desired view and ensure the camera is correctly focused and level from a remote location. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support also eases installation by delivering power and network connectivity over the same cable – reducing the amount of wiring required. This robust unit is outdoor-ready with IK10-rated vandal resistance and IP66/67 weather protection, making it ideal for deployment in exposed areas.
Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
Providing reliable surveillance of two areas in one camera unit, the Axis P4707-PLVE is suitable for deployment in exposed outdoor environments with challenging light conditions including large car parks, bus stations and petrol stations.
