This high-performance, outdoor-ready network camera features two varifocal sensors which together deliver multi-directional surveillance in 2MP resolution – 24 hours a day. The vandal-resistant unit features 360° infrared (IR) illumination, as well as a range of advanced imaging technologies for clear image capture in any lighting condition. Other handy features include pan/tilt/rotate capability for flexible positioning of both camera heads at installation, edge storage (MicroSD card not included) and simplified installation with support for Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Camera

The two varifocal sensors each offer horizontal viewing angles of up to 95° and enable users to set separate fields of view during installation. Each camera head can also be manually adjusted during installation - enabling users to set the desired viewing direction and angle of each head individually to capture scenes in two directions. This outdoor-ready unit captures high-quality 2MP resolution video at up to 25 frames per second (fps) and 360° IR illumination is provided via the camera's four individually controllable LEDs - helping to enhance night vision at a range of up to 15m. In addition, two-way audio recording is possible via the connection of an external Axis T61 audio and I/O interface.

Imaging

Advanced imaging capabilities deliver high-quality, reliable imaging. Forensic Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology retains image details in high-contrast scenes and also ensures that few motion artefacts are apparent in scenes with high levels of activity. Lightfinder technology produces full-colour images in near darkness, and Axis Corridor Format maximises the area of interest in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream and preventing redundant areas from being recorded.

Video analytics

Configurable camera-based video motion detection and tampering alarms help to alert users of activity via a choice of notification methods including email. Additionally, users can utilise an external Axis T61 audio and I/O interface (sold separately) to connect external devices and help enhance alarm signalling.

Video management

Edge storage is included, and recordings can be written to the onboard MicroSD card (not included) - providing a helpful backup of data if the network fails. Free remote access to the unit is possible via the Axis Companion mobile application. For further functionality, the camera can also be integrated with high-performance video management software applications, such as Axis Camera Station and Milestone XProtect.

Installation

This two-camera-in-one unit requires a single IP address and network cable – offering a cost-effective alternative to the installation of multiple IP cameras. Support for PoE helps simplify the installation process by delivering both power and network connectivity over a single cable. In addition, the unique peanut-shaped design allows for easy cable routing, and remote zoom and focus capabilities eliminate the need for hands-on fine-tuning.

Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
