Overview of the Axis P3905-R

Compact IP67-rated Axis P3905-R dome network camera designed for transport security, capable of full HD 1080p video capture and with 87° horizontal view, dual codec, PoE, tampering alarm, Axis Corridor Format and MicroSD card recording. This camera is able to capture video in a variety of lighting conditions with wide dynamic range and Traffic Light mode and comes with support for the 16-channel Axis Companion application.

The rugged Axis P3905-R dome IP camera is part of the P39-R series of surveillance cameras suitable for use in transportation. The P3905-R provides wide area coverage with an 87° horizontal viewing angle and is capable of full HD 1080p video capture at up to 30 frames per second for smooth security footage. IP67-rated, this durable IP camera provides unobtrusive surveillance ideal for confined spaces and can withstand temperature fluctuations, shocks, bumps and vibrations. Available with a choice of M12 or male RJ45 connector depending on application, this camera can be used both indoors and out.

Axis' Traffic Light mode enables the camera to distinguish the different colours of traffic lights when in dark conditions for improved event analysis whilst wide dynamic range technology enables the camera to cope with challenging lighting environments where bright highlights and dark shadows exist simultaneously. Axis Corridor Format vertically orientates the video stream for scenes such as corridors or hallways to maximise image quality and reduce bandwidth.

The Axis P3905-R dome network camera delivers accurate security surveillance using a built-in tampering alarm that can detect blocking or spray painting and alert the user via a variety of methods. Installation of the P3905-R is made easy through PoE support and MicroSD card recording, reducing costs as there is no requirement for separate power cabling or centralised storage. The included lens tool also makes achieving the desired field of view and a levelled image simple. Motion JPEG and H.264 formats are both supported for compression flexibility depending on requirements.

16-channel Axis Companion software is supported and provides user-friendly video management. The camera can also be viewed remotely via smartphones and tablets, providing convenient access.
