Axis P3346 indoor fixed dome IP camera with HD 1080p resolution, full day/night capability, remote focus and zoom, PoE
This product is discontinued, an alternative model is the Axis Q3536-LVE
Overview of 0369-001 Axis P3346
The Axis P3346 is an IP dome camera capable of providing multiple, individually configurable H.264 and Motion JPEG video streams in HD 1080p quality at up to 30 frames per second, allowing you to view a live feed from the camera at a high resolution and record at a lower resolution simultaneously, saving on storage costs. This flexible, high quality image makes it ideal for mission critical applications such as surveillance of public terminals and large shopping centres.
In addition to this, the P3346 offers multi-view streaming in tandem with digital pan/tilt/zoom. This allows you to view up to eight zoomed in or cropped areas of the camera's field of view simultaneously, an useful feature for eliminating unwanted areas to save on bandwidth resources. The P3346 is also equipped with Axis's unique P-Iris control, which allows the camera to precisely control the iris position. This refines depth of field and lens resolution, resulting in optimal image sharpness. An integrated infrared cut filter enables the P3346 to switch to a black and white, infrared sensitive image in extremely poor lighting conditions, ensuring you always have an effective monitoring presence (infrared lighting required). Footage can be stored on board the camera using an SD card (not supplied) - a useful feature that offers redundancy options and greater flexibility as a recording solution.
As well as this, the P3346 incorporates advanced installation capabilities called remote focus and zoom. The remote focus feature allows focusing over the network from a remote location, eliminating the need for hands-on fine-tuning at the camera, simplifying installation if the camera is mounted in a difficult-to-reach position. Alongside this, the remote zoom feature ensures that the viewing angle is optimised for the area the camera is monitoring. A built-in pixel counter also enables the installer to easily verify that the camera installation fulfils any regulatory or customer requirements (for instance, calculating the pixel resolution of the face of a person passing a doorway monitored by the camera). Power over Ethernet further simplifies installation by providing a network connection and power to the camera through just one cable, and a tamper-resistant casing offers protection from interference once the camera is installed.
The P3346 is a cost-effective network camera with a rich feature set that is well suited to a wide variety of mid to high-end CCTV security applications.
Please note: this camera does not come with a Power over Ethernet power supply. Please select if required.
This camera is compatible with Axis' free Camera Companion software, which allows viewing, playback and recording of HDTV-quality video directly onto an SD card, helping to save on storage. View footage from up to 16 cameras on your mobile phone using downloadable apps for iPhone, iPad and Android devices and take your surveillance on the move.
