Specifically designed and certified for use in environments such as food processing facilities and ports, with an operating temperature of -40° - 50°C, the stainless-steel marine-grade casing of the P3268-SLVE is rated IK11, NEMA 4K and IP66/67/68 which provides effective protection against corrosive liquids such as seawater and cleaning chemicals, as well as being vandal and impact resistant. 4K resolution captures video at up to 30 frames per second, which provides smooth, detailed imagery even in high-movement areas. OptimisedIR up to 40m, Lightfinder 2.0 and forensic WDR ensures high quality imaging in low-light environments. This camera also includes a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) enhancing object analytics performance, processing and storage capabilities when recording to SD card (not included) so users can capture even more data than ever before.

Imaging and Optics

The 8MP resolution sensor features a varifocal lens of 4.3 - 8.6mm with a horizontal viewing angle of 53° - 100°, capturing UHD 4K video streams (3840 x 2160) up to 30 frames per second which ensures smooth capture, even in particularly busy areas. Forensic WDR technology improves the clarity of video in high-contrast environments such as entrances and reception areas to ensure important details aren't missed due to varying light levels. Lightfinder 2.0 provides full colour imaging in light levels as low as 0.14 lux, and the automatic IR cut filter switches to clear monochrome imaging up to 40m (depending on the scene) in darkness down to 0.03 lux. Remote Zoom and Focus provides digital PTZ, with options for preset positions.

Video Analytics

The deep learning processing unit (DLPU) enhances the pre-installed Axis Object Analytics with more reliable and accurate detection. The AI-based algorithm detects common objects such as humans and can also differentiate between specific types of vehicles such as buses, vans and bikes, ideal for busier, high-traffic areas requiring more demanding surveillance. Up to 10 different scenarios can be set, alerting users to individuals dwelling in a preset area for too long, or objects crossing a virtual line. The inclusion of Live Privacy Shield can safeguard privacy, so laws and regulations can be met regarding certain footage, whilst Axis Video Motion Detection, Active Tampering Alarm and audio detection gives the user flexible control over the level of security they require.

This camera also supports other Axis and third-party applications, enabling greater functionality of the camera to meet more distinct demands.

Recording and Video Management

Built-in Axis Zipstream technology assists in ensuring data storage is optimised when recording video. The intelligent compression method differentiates between important and unnecessary recorded data and can lower bandwidth and storage requirements by up to 50%.

Installation and mounting options

The P3268-SLVE dome camera measures 166mm in diameter and 112mm in height, and is suitable for areas both indoors and outdoors, where it may be exposed to corrosive materials or be at risk of vandalism. Due to its highly robust stainless-steel casing rated IK11, NEMA 4K and IP66/67/68, this ensures excellent protection against impacts. Powered by PoE, the P3268-SLVE supports two-way audio I/O digital connections as well as a 3.5mm audio mic/line in.

Installation aids such as Level Grid, Remote Zoom and Focus, Pixel Counter and Straighten Image allow for easy setup.

The camera can be mounted directly onto a ceiling or wall straight out of the box, however additional accessories can be used for additional mounting options, including:
