Equipped with Axis' latest ARTPEC-8 chipset, this bullet camera delivers sharp 4K resolution footage and intelligently detects and classifies objects on the edge using Axis' deep learning-based object analytics.
Designed for use in exposed outdoor areas, the Axis P1468-LE is based on Axis’ state-of-the-art chipset. Delivering high-quality 4K resolution video at up to 60 frames per second (fps), the unit is equipped with a deep learning processing unit allowing more intuitive analytics with a higher rate of accuracy. Axis Object Analytics comes preinstalled with the camera and offers highly reliable object detection and classification, allowing the unit to distinguish between humans, vehicles, and vehicle sub-classes directly onboard the camera. Users can also set alarm or recording triggers to activate when a specific object is detected, providing more proactive remote monitoring. A variety of additional features are available including Lightfinder 2.0, OptimisedIR and Forensic WDR.
Users are able to set their desired viewing angle at installation with the camera’s varifocal lens, offering a horizontal field of view of between 49° and 108°. The Axis P1468-LE features 24-hour capture with its integrated IR-cut filter – ideal for areas requiring night-time monitoring. This capability is enhanced further by the unit’s OptimisedIR LEDs that illuminate up to 40m around the camera. This intelligent IR technology adjusts the beam to the camera’s zoom factor, to ensure the entire field of view is illuminated and no glare obscures the view. Furthermore, Lightfinder 2.0 delivers full-colour video capture, even in extreme low light conditions, enhancing the amount of detail that can be seen before the camera flips into night mode.
To enhance the camera’s crisp 4K UHD resolution footage, a range of imaging technologies are included. Forensic WDR maintains image clarity in high-contrast scenes by stabilising light and dark areas of the scene as well as reducing noise and artefacts to ensure all detail is visible. Built-in defogging technology clears fog or condensation from the lens to keep it from becoming obscured or distorted. Moreover, Corridor Format maximises the area of interest in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream and preventing redundant areas from being recorded.
Operators can easily be kept up to date with activity in the camera’s view, even when they are not physically watching the video stream, with the camera’s array of video analytics and configurable video motion detection alarms. These can be set to trigger recording to the onboard MicroSD card (not included) and inform deliver notifications of activity via email or VMS. This camera also carries support for Axis Perimeter Defender (not included), providing a scalable and highly sensitive i-LIDS compliant perimeter monitoring and detection facility to alert users to loitering or trespassing in the surveillance area.
The Axis P1468-LE benefits from robust housing, clear low-light video and sophisticated analytics capabilities, making it suitable for deployment in outdoor areas requiring a tough unit with a high level of scene awareness. Typical applications include larger retail stores, industrial estates, business premises surveillance or train stations.
Support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) reduces the number of cables and installation tools required, by providing both power and network connectivity over a single cable for cost-effective and straightforward integration. The whole unit is housed in an IP66-rated weather-resistant and IK10 vandal-resistant casing, making it ideal for exposed outdoor areas prone to harsh weather and tampering. Furthermore, Axis' Zipstream technology saves on storage costs by optimising bandwidth and reducing storage requirements without compromising video quality.
