Overview of the Axis P1368-E

This outdoor-ready IP camera is part of the versatile P13 series by Axis and delivers detail-packed, 4K Ultra HD resolution at full frame rate – 24 hours a day. It’s unique housing features a flexible mechanical platform to provide users with quick access to connectors and cabling, as well as allowing larger zoom lenses to be fitted onto the built-in camera rails. A range of advanced imaging technologies are also supported for clear image capture in any lighting condition, and the unit can be easily installed using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).

This innovative CS-mount IP camera is supplied with a varifocal, intelligent CS-mount (i-CS) lens which provides wide horizontal viewing angles and allows optimum scene coverage to be set during installation. The i-CS mount lens helps to simplify set-up by directly exchanging information with the camera such as zoom position, focus and iris opening thanks to an open protocol. It also features several integrated motors which allow users to remotely adjust lens settings - making fine tuning during installation much easier.

A range of advanced imaging technologies are available that help the camera deliver clear video footage in difficult lighting conditions. Forensic WDR ensures the capture of details in high contrast scenes and Axis’ Lightfinder technology provides full colour viewing in ambient light extremes. Axis Corridor Format is also supported and allows viewing in narrow scenes to be optimised by rotating the sensor 90° - preventing the recording of redundant areas.

The camera features an integrated microphone which allows users to listen in and record audio in the monitored area. Two-way audio is enabled when a speaker (not included) is connected via an external I/O port - allowing verbal interaction. Audio and motion detections can be used alongside connected external devices to trigger alarms, start MicroSD card recording and alert users of activity via email notification.

Axis' Zipstream technology is included to help lower bandwidth and storage requirements. It does this by analysing and optimising the video stream in real time, recording interesting detail in high quality, whilst filtering other areas out.
