Overview of the Axis M3105-L

This Axis mini-dome captures high quality CCTV footage in HD 1080p resolution, complete with true day/night recording enhanced by integrated infrared (IR) illumination. The adjustable housing provides flexibility when mounting on walls or ceilings and the innovative, flat-faced design of the unit helps to suppress reflections. Additional features include Axis Zipstream technology, built-in MicroSD card storage and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).

The unit’s flat-faced design suppresses light reflections to help maximise image clarity in low light and an integrated IR LED extends the camera's night-vision range up to 15m. In addition, wide dynamic range (WDR) – Forensic Capture optimises video by lowering noise levels and increasing the image signal to ensure details are visible in both dark and bright areas. Axis Corridor Format is also included and helps to maximise the area of interest in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream.

Users can install the Axis Companion application, a simple video management solution for up to 16 camera channels, to provide remote access to live views and playback of video footage. This free software is available as a PC client and mobile applications for both iOS and Android devices.

Camera-based video motion detection and tampering alarms can be configured to alert users of activity via a choice of notification methods including email. Using the Axis Companion mobile app, motion detection alarms can also be set to trigger MicroSD card recording.

Installation is simplified with support for PoE and the unit’s 3-axis adjustment is a helpful time saver for setting the desired field of view. Also, support for Axis' Zipstream technology helps to lower bandwidth and storage levels by an average of up to 50%. The technology analyses video in real-time and continuously optimises the stream, reducing bandwidth by separating areas of interest to maintain a higher quality than areas of little interest.
