Overview of the Axis M3045-WV
Part of the best selling M30 series, this wireless mini-dome delivers smooth HD 1080p resolution at up to 25 frames per second (fps). Its compact form factor makes it ideal for unobtrusively monitoring indoor areas and is easily connected to the network over wireless LAN or Ethernet. Additional features include an HDMI output for live streaming to an HD monitor, Axis Zipstream technology and on-board MicroSD card storage.
Its wireless network interface supports a/b/g/n standards and delivers high performance, wide-range transmission. A popular choice for small business applications, this model offers flexible deployment options and also allows the camera’s location to be easily changed if required.
Wide dynamic range (WDR) technology renders details evenly in strongly backlit scenes to ensure objects and people can be identified clearly. Using Axis Corridor Format, users can vertically orientate the video stream to help maximise area coverage and reduce bandwidth when monitoring narrow scenes. In addition, digital pan/tilt/zoom controls allow areas of the original image to be examined in greater detail. These regions, in combination with the camera’s multi-streaming feature, allow specific areas to be cropped and streamed separately for live viewing or recording.
The camera’s ultra compact, palm-sized housing is IK08 rated – making it ideal for non-invasive installation in areas that are prone to tampering. It’s also factory-focused for simple set up and features a handy 3-axis mount design which allows the user to easily set the desired view.
Axis' Zipstream technology is included to help lower bandwidth and storage requirements. This advanced technology analyses and optimises the video stream in real time, recording interesting detail in high quality, whilst filtering other areas out to reduce bandwidth and storage use.
Users can install the Axis Companion application to provide a simple video management solution for up to 16 camera channels. This free software offers remote access to live views as well as playback of recordings and is available as a PC client or mobile application.
The camera offers a variety of configurable video motion detection and tampering alarms to help alert users of activity via a choice of notification methods including email. Motion detection alarms can also trigger recording when using the Axis Companion mobile app.
