Overview of the Axis M3015

This affordable and compact mini-dome delivers HD 1080p video at up to 25 frames per second (fps). Part of the Axis M30 Series, this camera resembles a spotlight and is specifically designed for recessed mounting in drop ceilings - resulting in non-invasive surveillance of indoor locations. Additional features include Axis Zipstream technology, on-board MicroSD card storage and H.265 compression format.

The unit offers a viewing angle of 106° which allows a wide area of the scene to be monitored. Wide dynamic range (WDR) is supported, enabling details in scenes with bright and dark areas to be viewed clearly and ensuring capture of details. Axis Corridor Format is also included and is a helpful feature that maximises the area of interest in narrow scenes by vertically orientating the video stream.

Video motion detection alarms can be configured to alert users of possible incidents in real-time. These alarms can also be set to trigger recording to the on-board microSD card (not included) – ensuring all activity is captured.

The Axis companion application is available to be downloaded free-of-charge, providing a simple video management solution for up to 16 IP cameras. Axis Companion software is available as a PC Client and mobile application. It offers remote access to live views and recording playback for a low-cost, decentralised surveillance system.

The M3015 offers support for Axis Zipstream technology, which recognises when there is no movement in the scene and lowers image quality, resulting in an overall reduction in bandwidth and storage requirements. With support for PoE, this camera can receive power and network connectivity over one cable for cost-effective installation.

Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
