This wireless IP camera from Axis captures smooth HD 1080p resolution video footage at up to 25 frames per second (fps), complete with true day/night recording and up to 10m night vision via the built-in infrared (IR) illuminator. Supplied with two mounting options, this versatile unit also features an integrated PIR sensor and can be connected to the network easily over wireless LAN or Ethernet. Additionally, two-way audio is supported as well as Axis' Zipstream technology and edge storage.
Wireless support makes this camera an ideal choice for home users, as well as in small business applications and can be easily set up using the ‘one-click’ pairing function. Wireless connectivity removes the need for a network cable and also allows users to easily change the camera’s location when desired.
Part of the compact M10 series, the unit has been designed for straightforward installation and can be easily mounted using one of the two supplied brackets. When mounted at a height of 220 – 280 cm, the included corner and wall bracket positions the camera at just the right angle to provide a wide overview of up to 110°. Alternatively, the unit can be simply stood upright using the included tabletop stand.
The integrated PIR sensor detects movement even in dimly lit environments and can be used alongside camera-based video motion detection alarms to help alert users of activity. Motion detection alerts can also be configured to trigger recording to the onboard MicroSD card - ensuring no vital footage is missed. The camera’s integrated microphone and speaker support two-way communication and also allow users to record audio clips that can be played on an event basis.
The free Axis Companion application can be easily installed and offers a simple video management solution for up to 16 camera channels. Available as a PC client or mobile application for iOS and Android devices, this handy software provides remote access to live views as well as playback of recordings.
Support for Axis’ award-winning Zipstream technology helps to lower bandwidth and storage requirements. By analysing the video stream in real-time, this advanced technology ensures important details in the image are retained, while unnecessary data can be removed.
