Overview of the Axis M1065-L

This small and smart IP camera from Axis offers HD 1080p resolution at up to 25 frames per second (fps), alongside true day/night recording for clear video capture – 24 hours a day. Part of the Axis M10 series, this affordable unit is supplied with two mounting options and also supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for straightforward set up. Additional features include an integrated PIR sensor, two-way audio support and built-in MicroSD card storage.

Designed for simple and unobtrusive installation, the camera can be easily installed using the included corner and wall bracket. When mounted at a height of 220 – 280 cm, the bracket positions the camera at just the right angle to provide a wide overview of up to 110°. Alternatively, the included table top stand can be used for simple mounting on flat indoor surfaces. The camera also features an integrated infrared (IR) LED that illuminates up to 10m for improved CCTV monitoring at night.

The unit’s integrated PIR sensor picks up movement even in near darkness, and can be used alongside camera-based video motion detection alarms to help alert users of possible incidents. These motion detection methods can also be set to trigger Micro-SD card recording to ensure no activity is missed. Additionally, the built-in microphone and speaker allows users to communicate with those close to the camera and also record audio clips that can be played on an event basis.

Installation of the Axis Companion application provides simple video management for up to 16 IP cameras. This free software enables users to record and playback video footage from the camera’s SD card (not included) for an affordable and easy-to-use CCTV monitoring solution. Axis Companion software is available as a PC client and mobile application.

Axis’ advanced Zipstream technology analyses and optimises the video stream in real time, recording important details in high quality, whilst filtering out other areas to help reduce bandwidth and storage use.
