Overview of the Axis M1045-LW

This wireless IP camera is part of the Axis M10 series and delivers HD 1080p resolution at up to 25 frames per second (fps), complete with true day/night recording and up to 10m of night-vision via the built-in infrared (IR) illuminator. It’s supplied with two mounting options and can be connected to the network easily over wireless LAN or Ethernet. Additional features include Axis Zipstream technology and built-in MicroSD card storage.

The unit’s wireless network interface delivers high performance transmission and can be set up quickly using the ‘one-click’ pairing function. A popular choice for home users and small business applications, wireless connectivity removes the need for a network cable and also allows the camera's location to be easily changed.

Designed for straightforward installation, the camera can be easily installed using one of the two mounting brackets supplied. When mounted at a height of 220 – 280 cm, the included corner and wall bracket will position the camera at the optimum angle to provide wide overviews of up to 110°. Alternatively, the included table top stand enables simple mounting on flat surfaces.

The free Axis Companion application can be installed and offers simple video management for up to 16 camera channels. Available as a PC client or mobile application for iOS and android devices, this handy software provides remote access to live views as well as playback of recordings.

A range of camera-based video motion detection alarms can be configured to help alert users of activity via a choice of notification methods including email. Motion detection alarms can also trigger recording to the on-board MicroSD card when using the Axis Companion mobile application.

Axis' Zipstream technology is included to help lower bandwidth and storage requirements. It does this by analysing and optimising the video stream in real time, recording interesting detail in high quality, whilst filtering other areas out.
