Overview of Axis Camera Station S2208 Appliance

Part of the Axis S22 series, this advanced surveillance appliance features an integrated 8-port Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch and 1 x 4TB of storage. It’s pre-loaded with Axis Camera Station (ACS) and other necessary system software making it ‘out-of-the-box’ ready with preconfigured settings to help reduce installation time. The unit is fully compatible with all Axis network cameras and a range of third-party IP devices and, when combined with display monitors, it forms an ideal ‘all-in-one’ recording solution for small to medium business applications.

This user-friendly device offers feature-rich IP video surveillance and can support the monitoring and recording of up to 8 camera channels. Additionally, the unit allows the connection of up to two monitors via the built-in display port and HDMI output; and can display a single 4K resolution image in live view or playback mode (with the use of a 4K monitor). Users also can display a 4 x 1080p split view during playback and this appliance is capable of recording high-quality video at up to 192 Mbit per second.

To simplify installation, this unit features an integrated 8-port PoE switch and is supplied with eight Axis Camera Station device licences. ACS 5 is pre-loaded and offers an intuitive user interface that provides all the necessary features required for reliable CCTV monitoring. Site map functionality offers a full system overview and responsive pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) controls allow the user to explore the system's camera channels. Camera-based video motion detection and tampering alarms are also configurable and can be managed easily to ensure high levels of dynamic scene awareness at all times. Additionally, users can utilise the software’s visual timeline and video search functions to quickly investigate and retrieve data. These files can then be exported manually or at scheduled periods to give the user full control of their data management.
