Overview of 0283-003 Axis 209MFD

The Axis 209MFD is a fixed-dome IP camera with a 1.3 Megapixel sensor that produces a high quality image suitable for monitoring indoor locations where unobtrusive viewing is required, such as hotel receptions, corridors or shops. When mounted, the camera protrudes only 4 cm from the surface, providing an unobtrusive, non-invasive security solution.

The 209MFD is simple to install. Its Power over Ethernet design provides both power and network connectivity in a single cable, significantly reducing costs and time required for installation and eliminating the need for power outlets near the camera's location. The camera also allows the lens to be tilted to a suitable viewing angle, making it a flexible solution for scenarios where space is at a premium.

The camera's built-in motion detection technology can be configured to automatically send images via e-mail, HTTP or FTP when the camera's alarm is triggered. The 209MFD's built-in web server means that a live feed from the camera can be viewed using standard web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox - no additional software is required. For situations where recording is a priority, the included Axis Camera Station One software provides a complete 1-channel solution for playback, viewing and recording out of the box.
