Overview of the Axis Companion Cube LW

Part of the Axis Companion Series, this IP camera delivers smooth HD 1080p video at full frame rate – 24 hours a day. The compact unit provides non-invasive, indoor CCTV surveillance and is also easily connected to the network over wireless LAN or wired Ethernet. It’s also supplied with an Axis Companion 64GB MicroSD card for a self-contained recording system and can be remotely accessed via the free Axis Companion application.

Wireless support makes this network camera an ideal choice for small business applications and can be set up easily using the 'one-click' pairing function. Wireless connectivity removes the need for a network cable and also allows the camera's location to be easily changed.

The unit offers wide horizontal views of up to 110° for optimum scene coverage and can be stood upright with table top stand or wall/corner mounted using the included bracket. The camera is also equipped with integrated infrared (IR) illuminators, enabling the camera to provide detailed black-and-white video even in complete darkness (up to a range of 10 meters).

The integrated PIR sensor detects movement even in dimly lit environments and can be used alongside camera-based video motion detection alarms to help alert users of activity. Motion detection alerts can also be set to trigger edge recording to the included 64GB SD card when used with the Axis Companion application. In addition, an Axis Companion recorder can be connected to increase storage space up to 4TB and provide a basic, all-in-one monitoring and recording solution.

The camera’s integrated microphone and speaker support two-way communication and also allow users to record audio clips that can be played on an event basis. The units also offers support for Axis Zipstream technology, which recognises when there is no movement in the scene and lowers image quality, resulting in an overall reduction in bandwidth and storage requirements.
